Teeth in a Day

Medically reviewed by Dr. Gregory Broyde, DDS ·

A full arch of fixed teeth on four to six implants, placed and fitted in one surgical visit in Calgary. The temporary bridge goes in the same afternoon. The final zirconia or acrylic bridge follows once the implants have healed.

What Teeth in a Day Actually Means

Teeth in a day is not a brand or a separate procedure. It is the timing. Failing teeth come out, four to six implants go in, and a fixed temporary bridge is attached to them before you go home. You eat soft food and smile with that bridge for three to six months while the implants fuse with the bone. Then it is swapped for the final bridge, made in the laboratory inside our clinic. The implant layout is All-on-4, All-on-6 or 3-on-6. Teeth in a day is what the day of surgery feels like.

One Arch or Both

Upper, lower, or both jaws in the same visit. It is built for people losing a whole arch, not for a single tooth.

A Fixed Bridge, Not a Denture

The teeth are screwed onto the implants. They do not come out at night and there is no adhesive.

Temporary First, Final Later

The same-day bridge is a strong temporary. The final bridge is fitted at a second visit after healing. Anyone who tells you otherwise is skipping a step.

Made in the Building

Both bridges are designed and milled in our own lab, so the technician who adjusts your bridge on surgery day is down the hall, not across the country.

Your Surgery Day, Start to Finish

Most patients are in the chair by mid-morning and home by late afternoon. Here is what fills the hours in between.

1

Before the Day: Scan and Plan

At your free consultation we take a 3D CBCT scan and digital impressions. The lab designs your bridge and the implant positions before you ever sit down for surgery.

2

Morning: Sedation, Extractions, Implants

Under IV sedation, Dr. Broyde removes the failing teeth and places four to six implants following the plan. You are asleep for the part people worry about.

3

Midday: The Lab Fits Your Bridge

While you rest, the technicians in the building adjust the temporary bridge to the implants exactly as they were placed. Then it is screwed in and your bite is checked.

4

Afternoon: Home With Fixed Teeth

You leave with a driver and a full set of fixed teeth. Review visits follow during healing, and the final bridge is fitted after three to six months.

Is Teeth in a Day Worth It?

For most people replacing a whole arch, yes. Here is what you gain, and what you accept.

Teeth the Same Day

Leave with new teeth the day your implants go in, instead of spending months without teeth.

One Surgery Day

Most patients need only one surgical appointment. Your final teeth are fitted after 3-6 months of healing.

Immediate Confidence

Never go without teeth. Maintain your appearance and confidence throughout the entire process.

Less Discomfort

Guided surgery usually means smaller incisions and an easier first week than people expect.

Fewer Visits

One surgical day instead of six to ten appointments spread over a year, so less time off work and less travel if you are coming from outside Calgary.

What You Accept

Soft food for the first weeks, a temporary bridge for three to six months, and a second fitting for the final teeth. That is the trade for not spending a year without teeth.

Can My Teeth Be Fixed in One Day?

Usually, if the problem is a whole arch. Not always, and the scan decides, not the sales pitch.

Who It Suits

Missing Multiple Teeth

Patients missing several teeth or entire arches who want immediate restoration.

Failing Teeth

Those with severely damaged or decayed teeth that need extraction.

Denture Wearers

Patients tired of loose, uncomfortable dentures who want a permanent solution.

Good General Health

Uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking or some medications can rule out same-day loading. Low bone usually does not: pterygoid or zygomatic implants can anchor the bridge the same day.
