Which part of the northwest you are coming from
The northwest is the one quadrant where the route genuinely changes from community to community. Crowchild, Sarcee, Stoney and Deerfoot all end up at Glenmore, but which one is quickest depends on where you start and, in a couple of cases, what time you leave.
The inner northwest
Capitol Hill, Briar Hill, West Hillhurst, Point McKay, Parkdale, Banff Trail and Mount Pleasant. About twenty minutes. Crowchild and 14th Street south to Glenmore are within a minute of each other here, so take whichever you already know.
Bowness and Montgomery
Down Sarcee Trail to Glenmore, then east to Macleod. Around twenty-five minutes. These two are the communities where Sarcee is genuinely the shortest way south rather than just the obvious one on a map.
The Crowchild corridor
Varsity, Brentwood, Dalhousie and Edgemont. Crowchild the whole way to Glenmore, picking it up off Shaganappi if you are coming from Edgemont. Allow about twenty-five minutes.
The west ridge
Silver Springs, Scenic Acres and Valley Ridge. Twenty-five to thirty minutes. From Valley Ridge the ring road wins outright; from Silver Springs it and Crowchild trade places depending on the hour, so it is worth checking before you leave.
The ring road northwest
Tuscany, Royal Oak, Rocky Ridge, Citadel, Arbour Lake, Hawkwood and Ranchlands. Stoney Trail south to Glenmore, then east, in about twenty-five minutes. The junction by the shops at Beacon Hill is where most of these trips start. From Ranchlands, Hawkwood and Arbour Lake, Crowchild does the job just as well.
North central, either side of Centre Street
Beddington Heights, Huntington Hills, Thorncliffe, Country Hills, Panorama Hills, MacEwan Glen and Sandstone Valley. Deerfoot south, then Glenmore westbound to Macleod. Twenty-five to thirty minutes off-peak. Several of these communities straddle the Centre Street line, so an NE address here is common and makes no difference to the drive.
Getting here from the far northwest
The counterintuitive part of driving in from the northwest is that distance stopped predicting time when the ring road closed its final leg at the end of 2023. Tuscany sits several kilometres further out than Silver Springs and usually gets here sooner, because Stoney runs uninterrupted from the top of the northwest all the way round to Glenmore while the inner routes still collect lights. If your mental map of the drive was formed before 2024, it is worth redrawing.
From Beddington, Panorama Hills and the rest of the north central group, Deerfoot is still the fastest way south at every hour we checked, but it is not a clean run at the moment. The Deerfoot and Glenmore interchange is being rebuilt and the work continues into 2027, so leave a few extra minutes rather than assuming the freeway will make them up. Centre Street and 14th Street are the alternatives, and both come out four to seven minutes slower.
Worth knowing wherever you start: the freeway is rarely the slow part. Macleod Trail itself is, particularly northbound in the afternoon, so the times above are quoted at the top of their range rather than the bottom. If you would rather not drive at all, the Red Line does run from Tuscany to Heritage without a transfer in about forty-five minutes, though Heritage station is still a twenty-minute walk from us and most northwest patients drive.
Once you arrive there is free patient parking in our own lot, with street parking and nearby parkades as backup. That matters more than it sounds: implant treatment done conventionally means six to ten separate trips, and from Panorama Hills that is six to ten round trips down Deerfoot.
Why the drive is usually a single trip
Full-arch treatment here is completed in one surgical day. You arrive with failing or missing teeth and leave the same day with a fixed set in place rather than a temporary denture to wear for months while implants integrate.
That is possible because the laboratory is in the building. Most clinics ship your case to an outside lab, which adds weeks and another appointment each time something needs adjusting. Our in-house digital lab designs and mills your teeth on site, so the fitting and the fine-tuning happen while you are already here. For a patient driving in from Tuscany or Valley Ridge, that is the difference between one appointment and a season of them.
Sedation is handled on site too. An anaesthesiologist provides IV sedation for the procedure, so the surgical day is one appointment you sleep through rather than several you brace for.

What a first visit from the northwest involves
The consultation is free and takes one trip. We take a 3D CBCT scan, look at bone volume and the condition of the teeth still in place, and go through what each option would involve in your case.
You leave with a written estimate rather than a range, so you can take it home to Silver Springs or Panorama Hills and compare it against anything else you are weighing before committing. If you decide to go ahead, the surgical day is booked separately, and for full-arch cases that is the day you get your fixed teeth.

Cost does not change with the distance you drive. There is no separate northwest rate; the fee is flat, all-inclusive, and quoted in writing before anything starts.

One number covers the surgery, the implants, the IV sedation and the final teeth. Bone volume and the complexity of your case decide the figure, and that gets settled at the consultation.
Financing is available for patients who qualify: twelve months at zero interest, or twenty-four to sixty months at rates from 5% APR. Coming down from the far northwest, it is worth weighing the flat fee against a conventional course of treatment, where the quote is only part of the cost. The rest is six to ten round trips from Beddington or Tuscany, most of them crossing the city at the times of day it is slowest.
